Day 2 begins with news of the day and the realisation that Jack Swigert has not filled in his tax return form. Preperations begin for the TV transmission and the MCC2 burn.

Communications with Apollo 13 and MOCR on day 2 leading up to the MCC2 burn which would take Apollo 13 off the free return trajectory and onto one that would allow the mission to intersect the Fra Mauro landing site.

The crew attempts to photograph Comet Bennet, without success due to bad lighting. The PTC is initiated after being halted before MCC2. The crew go to sleep
